THE SOLIHULL man accused of murdering his 17-year-old daughter in west Wales failed to appear in court last week after refusing to leave his prison cell.
Gary John Fisher, aged 47, had been scheduled to attend a hearing at Swansea crown court for the prosecution to enter a formal request for an extension to the custody time limit.
But he refused to attend and the hearing was adjourned to tomorrow (Friday).
The court heard that the trial date in March would be maintained.
Fisher, from Solihull, denies murdering Chanelle Sasha Jones on August 2 of last year.
The teenager was found dead in the passenger seat of a Ford Fiesta which police stopped using a stinger device in Aberaeron.
A family member had reported Chanelle, a childcare student, missing and her body was found when police stopped the car on the A487.
Fisher was further remanded in custody.
