Hi: 14° Lo:5° 7 day

PREDICTIONS of snow chaos came true as blizzard conditions blanketed the borough.
Several inches of the white stuff fell on Friday alone and was topped up throughout the weekend and into this week.
Arctic conditions meant many schools were closed and refuse collections were suspended for safety reasons.
And while council gritting teams worked tirelessly to keep the main roads running smoothly, side roads, country roads and less-travelled routes looked more like Scandinavia than Solihull.
The weather did make for some great photo opportunities and plenty of fun for children, animals and grown-ups who donned their wellies, dusted down their sledges and headed out into the wild.
These images taken by our photographers and by you, the readers who kindly sent them in.
We hope you enjoy.
