DENISE Fountain bagged a hat-trick as Bloss started the second half of the season in great style on Saturday.

She scored twice in the first half, including the opening goal from a penalty flick, whilst Elana Byrne, Julie Spence and player of the match Amelia Thompson also struck before the interval.

Bounrville did pull one back before the break but Bloss were soon on the front foot again after the restart with Nicky Horton striking and Fountain completing her treble.

THE 2nds were beaten 6-2 by Warwick University Ladies 1sts.

Vicki Kearsey and a Warwick Own Goal saw Bloss trail just 3-2 at the break but the students powered on in the second half to take the victory, despite the best efforts of player of the match Claire Christian.

HELEN Kavanagh’s hat-trick helped the 3rds to a 5-1 victory against Hampton Ladies.

Kavanagh and Jude Elston struck to give Bloss a 2-1 lead to carry into the second half when they dominated and wrapped up the victory with Alana Casey also getting on the scoresheet.

THE Men’s 3rds lost 5-3 at home against top of the table Aldridge and Walsall.

An open start failed to bring any goals but the leaders eventually broke the deadlock, five minutes before the break.

Matt Harvey scored for Bloss in the second half but Aldridge remained in control, opening up a 3-1 lead.

Harvey’s second of the game brought brief hope but Aldridge scored twice more to end the game as a contest before Chris Lane netted a late consolation.

BLOSSOMFIELD Mixed lost 3-2 against Stafford Mixed in the Trophy despite two goals from Tom Bates.
