TIM Forsyth has been crowned winner the Cappendell Competition at Solihull Arden Squash Club after a titanic battle with Tony Howe in the final.
The event is designed to encourage players who might be wary of entering competitions to get involved with team standard players and previous winners barred from entering.
Both players gave their all in the final which ended up being a five-game battle that lasted over an hour before Tim came out on top.
“I went to school with the son of the club member the competition is named after and I always enter,” Tim said.
As a previous winner he will not be able to enter again but has volunteered to organise next year’s competition with plans to raise cash for the Heart Foundation.
Various competitions are held for players of all ages and standards throughout the year. Contact Andy on 07886 271 954 for more information or if you are interested in playing squash or racketball at the club.
