IT WAS a case of hair today gone tomorrow for one fund-raising shop worker in Marston Green.
Jon Lewis well and truly got into the spirit of Children in Need as his head was completely shaved and he helped staff at the village's One Stop store raise an impressive £650.
Another staff member at the Station Road store braved leg waxing, while others dressed as farm animals for the entire day and the store also held a raffle and cake sales to raise the cash.
A charity bucket was also passed round the village and the stores customers, local residents and businesses gave generously.
Jon, 21, said: "I am really pleased we managed to raise such a great total for Children in Need.
"When the first bit of hair was shaved off my head I was thinking 'what have I done!' but I'm used to it already now and the money goes to such a good cause it really is worth it.
"Everyone at One Stop really entered into the spirit of things and we had a great response from our customers who enjoyed all the activities and gave very generously.
"A big 'thank you' to everyone who helped us raise £650."
