Tax payments taken early by Solihull Council

Thursday 29 November 2012 Updated: 06/12 09:49

SOLIHULL Council has apologised for taking direct debit payments two days early.

Money has been going out of accounts today (Thursday) to pay for council tax and business rates.

The payments are usually requested by the council on the first of the month but due to an error the money is being taken early.

In a statement the council said: "This was a mistake and we are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause."

No further payments will be taken on December 1.

Anyone with questions can call 0121 7048100 for council tax enquiries or 0121 7048175 for business rates enquiries.
