Murder inquiry launched following stabbing in Chelmsley Wood

A MAN has died after being stabbed in Chelmsley Wood.

Police have launched a murder inquiry following the fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old local man yesterday (Sunday).

Officers were called to the Craig Croft shopping area just before 5am where the man had suffered a single stab wound.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, he died a short time later.

Another 24-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the stabbing yesterday morning.
