THIS is the first look at the new, state-of-the-art Marie Curie hospice in Solihull.
Due to open on January 12, the purpose-built hospice has been created with every little detail being paid the utmost attention.
Upstairs it is a pioneering hub for staff, carers, fundraisers to ensure seamless care and care provision.
Meanwhile downstairs is all about the patients and their families.
There are 24 bedrooms - all with the very latest science and technology to ensure the very best care for the patients.
All of the rooms are en-suite with plenty of room for loved ones to even stay overnight when needed and specially designed double doors meaning all patients, even those restricted to their beds, can enjoy the fresh air of the hospice's gardens.
Day patients will benefit from a specially designed area just for them and throughout the hospice there are more communal areas for patients to spend time, if they wish, with others.
Visitors and families have been catered for too, with a purpose-built family room where they can retreat to when needed or the brand new café which will be open to all - patients, visitors and staff.
