Fab facelift for The Bell at Tanworth in Arden

The Bell at Tanworth-in-Arden, is set to undergo multi thousand pound refurbishment which includes the introduction of an exciting new twist to its menu.

Updating the décor, menus and overall feel of the upmarket pub and restaurant is part of an intensive four-day programme of works which will begin at the end of October.

Located at the centre of the picturesque Warwickshire village of Tanworth, The Bell will benefit from a facelift outside and in.

The interiors have been designed by local company HB Group and the new look has been named “new country” – a sophisticated but comfortable update on the quintessential English pub.

Ashley Bent, owner of The Bell, is overseeing the transformation and has taken an active role in the new design.

He said: “We are really excited to announce the changes that we’ve got planned at The Bell.

"We have taken inspiration from many different quarters and have been particularly influenced by modern Spanish interiors trends, which aim to create a relaxed and comfortable space to enjoy coffee and drinks as well as lunch or dinner with friends.

“An important part of the refurbishment programme is meeting the needs of all our customers. We love our locals who pop in on a Friday evening for a glass of wine to unwind after the working week, but we also want to appeal to people who come to us from the surrounding Warwickshire and Worcestershire countryside and Birmingham. We are finalising our ideas and will reveal all in a couple of weeks.”

A second phase of refurbishment will take place in 2013, when the nine bedrooms which are also part of The Bell are renovated. The Bell will be closed from Monday 29 October, until it reopens on Thursday, November 1.
