School creates a quiet place

A NEW community room has been unveiled at Widney Junior School.

The school worked with local businesses to create the room while a competition was run in the school to choose the name for the room and the winning entry was Together Lounge.

The aim of the room is to give children a place where they can discuss what is on their minds while it will also be used to hold free sessions for parents to keep them up to date with their child's learning.

The room, which was decorated by parents, was officially opened by Solihull Mayor Ken Hawkins.
