THE Queen is not the only person celebrating a Diamond Anniversary this year.
Solihull couple Betty and Albert Price celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with a family party at the White Swan in Henley in Arden.
The couple met in Birmingham following World War Two in which Albert served and took part in the Normandy Landings.
They emigrated to Canada and married at St Stephens Church in Calgary on May 16, 1952 before returning to the UK in 1963 and eventually settling in Solihull where they have lived for over 30 years.
During their party the couple also showed off a congratulatory telegram which they had received from the Queen.
Betty said the secret to their long and happy marriage was just to enjoy life and doing things together.
