THE SUN shone down on fun runners in Knowle at the weekend.

The 29th annual running of the event was launched by BBC Midlands Today presenter Mary Rhodes and saw hundreds of runners - some serious and many more less so - pounding the 8k route around Knowle to raise money for a variety of local causes.

Peter Blanchflower captured these images of the day which is expected to have raised over £35,000.
