EMOTIONAL tributes have been left at the scene of a motorbike crash in Hall Green where married father of two Adrian Hopkins lost his life at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Baldwins Lane at around 5.10pm where they found the aftermath of a collision between a black Vauxhall Signum and a red Honda motorbike ridden by Mr Hopkins.
A firefighter, doctor, two nurses and paramedics attempted to save the life of 42-year-old the biker, but their efforts failed and he died at the Queen Elizabeth hospital.
Floral tributes now adorn the scene of the crash - including moving tributes from the biker's wife Susanne, daughter Steph and son Dan.
A message from his wife, Susanne, said: “You were my whole world. I am so devastated. I love you. I always will.”
Another message from his daughter Steph said: "My dearest daddy. You were cruelly taken from us far too early.
"You are so loved and missed. We will all be reunited again. I promise I will look after mom and Dan. I love you. Steph."
Son Dan's tribute read: "Dear dad. I miss you so much and could not have wished for a better father. I love you loads."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said everyone at the scene had worked hard to try to resuscitate Mr Hopkins and that those efforts continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham whose trauma team had been put on alert.
"Despite all the collective best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at hospital," they added.
Anyone who witnessed the accident is being urged to contact officers at the West Midlands Police Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
