A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a serious collision between two cars and a motorbike this morning (Thursday).
The accident happened on Haslucks Green Road at the junction of Stratford Road, Shirley, just after 6am.
The motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 40’s, was treated on scene for multiple fractures to his legs and arm.
He was fully immobilised and given pain relief at the scene before being taken, under police escort, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and specialist treatment.
Inspector Mark Watkins, from West Midlands Police Force's traffic unit, said: "Officers were immediately dispatched and the biker transported to hospital by ambulance where he remains in a serious condition."
Witnesses should call the Collision Investigation Unit in 101.
