THE PIRATES of Olton Mere will be swashbuckling on to the local stage next weekend - to help raise money for the Marie Curie Big Build appeal for its new hospice in Solihull and for Cancer Research UK.

The winter pantomime, written and devised by Katie Newbon, is being performed by local Olton residents at Our Lady of Compassion Primary School, in Kineton Green Road on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17.

Two years ago Katie’s production of ‘Oltonia’ raised £1,700 for Comic Relief and she is hoping to raise as much money as possible this time around for the two cancer charities.

Remaining tickets, costing £5 to include a programme and refreshments, are available from the school or by emailing: oltonmerepirates@gmail.com.
