POPULAR Polish rider Tomasz Piszcz has made a surprise return to Selco Birmingham Brummies for the 2012 season.
The 34-year-old, who rode for the Brummies in 2008 and 2009, becomes the club’s sixth main signing ahead of the new Sky Sports Elite League season which begins on March 22.
From Lublin, in Poland, the all-action Piszcz became a fans’ favourite at Perry Barr in his first stint at the club.
He teamed up with Jason Lyons in 2009 to win the Premier League Best Pairs final at Somerset and has previously linked with British clubs Peterborough, Coventry, Workington, Belle Vue (Manchester) and Poole.
Brummies boss Graham Drury said: “Tomasz was a tremendously popular rider with the fans in his previous seasons with us. If he can capture his best form, he can do a good job for us.”
