HIGHGATE were left frustrated again on Tuesday night when their Midland Alliance trip to Heath Hayes was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
It came on the back of Saturday's home fixture against Dunkirk being controversially postponed 20 minutes the scheduled kick off time due to a section of the pitch in front of the dug outs being frozen.
Gate boss Keith Checketts received further bad news after full back Trevor Edwards twisted an ankle in a weekend five-a-side match that will put him out of contention for up to eight weeks. On a brighter note the recently unavailable Toby Checketts will return to the squad for his side’s next home game with Causeway United on Saturday week. Centre half Dale Moon returns from University to step into Checketts' shoes for Saturday’s visit to Leicestershire based Heather St Johns (3pm).
