AWARD-WINNING Solihull Theatre Company's new production 'Sugar' is sure to get the theatrical tastebuds tingling.

The company, which won national awards for its recent production of Jekyll and Hyde and received rave reviews for last year's Hello Dolly, has announced dates for its new production 'Sugar' - a comedy musical based on the movie Some Like It Hot and tickets are already on sale.

Much like the iconic film, Sugar follows the fortunes of two struggling musicians - originally played by Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon - on the run from the mob in 1920s America after they witness a shootout. Forced to disguise themselves as women, they join an all-female orchestra and the fun begins as a classic tale of murder, love and cross-dressing ensues.

It is the first time the show, which had successful stints on Broadway and on the West End, has been performed in Solihull and with toe-tapping big band numbers and plenty of outrageous comedy, Sugar promises to be a big hit for all the family.

Performances are being held at Solihull Arts Complex from Tuesday May 15 to Saturday May 19 and tickets are now on sale direct from the Arts Complex box office, by calling 0121 704 6962 or at www.solihull-theatre.co.uk and are priced £13 and £14.
