TRIBUTES have flooded in for two 'fantastic lads' killed in a horror smash near Stratford on Saturday (January 14).

Mikey Abdou, 19, from Hockley Heath and Mike Dugmore, 21, from Wilmcote died when they were involved in a head-on crash with a sightseeing bus on Featherbed Lane near Wilmcote.

Former Solihull School pupil Mikey was the driver of the ford Fiesta and was found dead at the scene.

His friend Mike was treated for cardiac arrest but despite the best efforts of the emergency services also passed away.

The bus driver, a man in his 50s, suffered a fractured leg and two others who were on the bus were also injured - a man in his 50s suffered a cut to his head and a woman suffered a broken ankle.

A Facebook tribute page - RIP Mikey Abdou and Mike Dugmore - has been set up in memory of the lifelong friends.

It already has over 3,000 members and has been flooded with tributes from friends, family and strangers.

Among the emotional tributes were those from both the young men's sisters.

Mikey Abdou's sister Joanna said: R.I.P Mikey Abdou, my little brother..taken too soon but I will never ever forget you, I love you so much.

"You touched everyone's hearts and you always lit up a room with your amazing smile.

"You are the best brother and uncle and we always had happy times and the most fantastic memories that I will cherish forever. Love you always Joanna and Ashleigh xxxxxxxxxx."

Mike Duggan's sister Rachel added: "I'm gunna miss you two like there's no tomorrow, everyday just watching for you to walk through the door and ask for food and a cuppa and start washing your cars."

Heartbroken friends of the duo paid there respects with a convoy to the crash site where they laid flowers, released lanterns into the sky and remembered the good times they had shared with them.

More than 100 cars made the journey.

Mikey Abdou's 'funeral and greatest celebration of his life' will be held at St Alphege Church in Solihull at 12noon next Friday (January 27) and will be followed by his burial at Widney Manor Cemetery and a reception at The Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

Mike Dugmore's funeral service will be on Monday, January 30 at 10.30am at St James' Church in Shirley before his burial at Wilmcote Church and wake at Wilmcote Social Club on Aston Cantlow Road.
