SILHILLIANS fell silent at the weekend as they paid tribute to the servicemen and women who paid the ultimate price of their lives serving their country.
Across the borough Remembrance Day parades and church services were held and wreaths and poppy crosses laid in memory of those lost in conflicts around the world.
Observer photographer Jamie Gray attended the parade in Knowle and captured these images of the poignant day.
