  • Borough must use its vote

    Chris Willmott

    01 May 2008

TODAY is election day, but less than half of borough residents will be casting their vote.
They should be ashamed of themselves.
The people of Zimbabwe are prepared to risk their lives just for the right to vote in an election they know will be rigged.
So why do we have such voter apathy in the UK.
Everyone has an opinion on politics, or at least the decisions that are made by the politicians. And they are usually disapproving ones.
So why don't they use their democratic right to vote and have their say on who is making these decisions?
Anyone who doesn't vote should lose their right to judge those in power.
The right to vote is a powerful thing. Use it.
