A SOLIHULL school went green to celebrate its new gardening and eco club.
Hatchford Brook Junior and Infant School's Go Green Day saw students wearing green and taking part in a special assembly and litter picking session to mark the day.
Students were also treated to specially decorated cakes which were donated by Tesco.
Leader of the club Andrea Brookes said: "So many of our children are really keen to get involved - we are looking forward to some warmer weather so we can get outside and start digging!”
The school has already received lots of offers of help from parents and grandparents keen to share their gardening expertise with the children.
Anyone with spare unwanted garden tools or pots is urged to contact the school office on 0121 743 4691.
