
SOLIHULL singers The Surplus Cassocks join forces with home-grown comedian Malcolm Stent for an ‘Evening of Music and Mirth’ on Thursday, April 24.
Tickets are selling fast for the concert which will take place at Solihull Arts Complex theatre at 7.30pm to raise funds for Cancer Research.
Silhillians who have not yet bought their tickets are urged to contact the Box Office at Solihull Arts Complex as soon as possible to secure their place.
This concert which will be in the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress of Solihull is organised by local Cancer Research UK fundraising group, The Solihull Vision Team.
John Emmett, the Chairman of the Solihull Vision Team said: “All proceeds from this event are going to Cancer Research UK to fund the research into the many and varied types of cancer which plague modern society, and in seeking cures and treatments.
Professor Phillip Johnson, Director of the Clinical Trials Unit at the Cancer Research UK Institute for Cancer Studies in Birmingham, will also be attending the event and receiving a cheque for the charity which is expected to exceed £5000.
The concert has been kindly sponsored by local businesses Umberslade Office Demolition and Site Services, Standley and Co Solicitors of Knowle, John H Goodman and Associates, and Loanlink Flexible Lending Solutions.
